Senioritis

We're busy packing up the house. It's so weird to have the bare walls and dwindling food supply. We've been scavenging for scraps from the fridge and getting creative with our "dishes." I have a set of glass mixing bowls that have been used for cereal, ice cream, soup, and to heat up any and all leftovers. The other day all of the mixing bowls were in the dishwasher and we used the glass measuring cup to heat up some soup! I declared tonight that I was done cooking until after we were living in a new house. So it's PB&J until June 20!

I have seven more days of work and the senioritis is kicking in, BIG TIME. I've been working hard to get things accomplished and to train everyone who will be stepping up when I'm gone.  But now that my days are ticking away, I find myself feeling a little ambivalent when it comes to staying late to finish up a project or putting in my two cents on any issues. On my last day of work, we are having hot air balloon rides for the residents! How cool is that. It will be tethered to the ground so it will not be unsafe, but I can't wait to see the glee and joy on their faces as they go up in the air!

I've also been able to help out a little more with C&N's wedding plans which is fun, and I'm looking forward to packing up my clothes and my dog and heading home to Atlanta to be even more help in a couple of weeks. Things are about to get crazy when we start living out of suitcases at our parents house, but until then it's a funny little waiting game for the "end of the year."
